Extracurricular Activities
At AMISJ, we believe that learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom.
We provide opportunities for students of different ages to participate in extracurricular activities before, during and after school. Our activities make use of the school's facilities, resources and the knowledge and expertise of our staff.

Our extracurricular programme encourages students to explore their interests, develop friendships, build confidence and learn valuable teamwork skills.
Behaviour & Discipline
AMISJ aims to create a safe, respectful and positive environment where students can learn and develop.
Our behaviour and discipline approach is based on:
- Praise
- Positive reinforcement
- Reward systems
- Clear expectations
- Appropriate sanctions when necessary
- Communication with parents
Students are encouraged to develop respectful relationships with teachers, staff and fellow students. When behavioural concerns arise, parents may be informed and, where appropriate, invited to meet with the teacher or a senior member of staff.
Our goal is to work together with families to support students in improving their behaviour and making positive choices.
Attendance & Punctuality
Attendance
Regular attendance is an important part of successful learning.
According to the school portfolio, if a student's attendance falls below 70% without a reasonable explanation, parents may be contacted.
If a student is unwell or unable to attend school, parents are requested to inform the school as soon as possible. Parents may also be asked to provide a brief explanation of an absence when the student returns to school.
Punctuality
Students are expected to arrive at school on time so that they can begin their learning without disruption.
If a student arrives late, they should report to the school office so that their attendance can be recorded correctly. In cases where a student needs to be collected late, the school will take appropriate steps to ensure the student's safety and may contact parents when necessary.
Parent–Teacher Meetings
Strong communication between parents and teachers is an important part of supporting student success.
According to the school portfolio, parent–teacher meetings are conducted monthly to discuss student progress and work together toward the best possible outcomes for students.
These meetings provide an opportunity to:
- Review academic progress
- Discuss student development
- Identify areas requiring additional support
- Share feedback
- Strengthen communication between home and school
Prayer Facilities
AMISJ provides separate prayer rooms for boys and girls.
Students are able to perform prayers at school under the supervision of an Islamic teacher.
The school's Islamic and moral education programme forms an important part of the wider educational experience.
Counseling & Career Guidance
Support is available for students and parents, including career guidance.
Counseling at AMISJ is there for the ordinary difficulties of school as much as the exceptional ones, and it is offered to parents as well as to students.
